In the 18th century, Naples was home to many outstanding musicians. However, most of them were swept away by history, and few of their names have survived to the present day. Cataldi, a flutist who studied in Bologna, is a scholar of 18th century Neapolitan music and has devoted himself to the discovery and revival of works from this period, searching for and performing scores preserved in libraries around the country.
