Why this kit matters
IJN Asashimo was a Kagerō-class destroyer of the Imperial Japanese Navy, designed for high-speed fleet escort and offensive torpedo operations. These ships were central to Japan’s destroyer force during the Pacific War.
Asashimo served in several major naval operations and convoy escort missions. Like many ships of its class, it operated in high-intensity combat environments where destroyers were often used for night attacks, supply runs and fleet screening duties across the Pacific theatre.
How to use it
Build using paint, glue and modelling tools such as tweezers and a fine brush. Assemble hull sections, deck fittings and weapon systems step by step. Apply naval grey paint schemes and add decals for hull markings. Display on a base or as part of a 1/700 IJN fleet collection.
This is a plastic model kit. Assembly, paint, and glue are required. It is not a toy.
