The pleasures and labours of the field are represented in this striking tapestry, woven in a fine detail, especially shown in the 'Mille fleur' (thousand flowers) style, i.e., covered with tiny flowers, among which can be seen: pansies, ragged robin, violets and foxgloves, daffodils, periwinkles and other wildflowers. Details of the costumes suggest it was woven after 1505.

The emphatically two dimensional and extremely decorative effect of this tapestry has made an important artistic contribution to the revival of tapestry making in the last century.
