King Crimson
Description:
The third and final Crimson album of the 80's. A unique work in which pop and funk vocal tracks coexist with heavy industrial rock. The final album of the 80's Crimson, released after a one-year break. The first half of the album, which is the A-side of the original analog release, features catchy pop melody lines and mainly vocal songs with a touch of funk, while the second half, which is the B-side, features industrial-type songs that lead to the heavy improvisations of Crimson in the 90's. The last track, "Sun and War," is a song about a battle between a man and a woman. The last track is "Sun and Fear Part 3. Brew's vocal piece completely establishes his style. The impressive "Three of a Perfect Pair," the weird R&B number "Modern Man," with its strange twists and turns, and "Sleepless," with Tony Levin's electrifying funk bass bursting through, are just a few of the highly accomplished numbers. No one could have predicted that this development would lead to a slide into the world of heavy industrial Crimson, the biggest problematic work of 80's Crimson. The master is a Steven Wilson stereo mix released in 2016, and the SHM-CD version is now available in a more affordable placket version for the basic catalog! ■SHM-CD ■New commentary included ■Original 1984
