Since his solo debut in 1947, Miles Davis, the king of the modern jazz scene, has continued to create new jazz music at the forefront of the times, including cool jazz, hard bop, mode jazz, electric jazz, and hip-hop jazz. Even after his death, he continues to influence musicians in various genres and is greatly respected by them. This is a very rare archive of Miles Davis' live recordings, many of which have never been released on CD. Miles Davis released "In A Silent Way" in February 1969, as he continued to work with various members in search of a new sound. After this album, Tony Williams, who had been with the band since 1963, left to form his own band. Miles then joined Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, Dave Holland, and a new quintet with Jack DiJohnette on drums for a two-day performance on July 25 and 26 at the Jazz Festival in Antibes, a city on the Côte d'Azur in southern France.
