““Butterflies Are Free”
is an enormously entertaining light comedy which can always be called a commercial manufacture if you are persuaded that every time you enjoy yourself in the Theatre someone is playing a trick on you. It has, perhaps, a loftier intention than keeping you from committing suicide in the Foyer (and given some of the plays we see it’s strange there aren’t more suicides), but it has something indispensable to Theatre, if there is going to be any Theatre, and that is a working knowledge of what makes a play Play.
Programme for play presented and performed at Her Majesty’s Theatre, Adelaide, starring Sean Scully, Wendy Hughes, Miriam Karlin and Stewart Faichney, directed by John Tasker and produced by Harry M. Miller”
