Description:

Hot Chip, one of the most popular electro-pop bands in the world, makes its debut on the latest installment of the "Late Night Tales" series, the definitive compilation of "night listening" music loved around the world! The compilation also features four new songs written by the band themselves that can only be heard here! Hot Chip, with its danceable sound, addictive and catchy melodies, and frontman Alexis Taylor's distinctive voice, has gained worldwide popularity and is now featured on the latest installment of the "Late Night Tales" series, the definitive compilation of "night music" loved around the world! Featuring four new tracks from the band themselves, plus a selection of comforting electronic rhythms, hypnotic grooves, and left-field ambient sounds, this unique compilation of euphoric and melancholic sounds is the perfect antidote to these unsettling times.Previously nominated for a Grammy and Mercury Prize, and with his latest album, A Bath Full of Ecstasy, released in 2019 to worldwide acclaim, Hot Chip has created this album with the beautiful "At Dawn" by Belgian musician Christina Vantzou. It opens with the slow, floaty "Noth-ing's Changed," a new Hot Chip song, and continues with Rhythm & Sound ft. Cornell Campbell's dub classic "King In My Empire." From there, the silky disco track "Have You Passed Through This Night" by Pale Blue, through the synth pop of Suzanne Kraft's "Femme Cosmic" and Fever Ray's "To The Moon and Back" to the oozing hotness of "The Moon and Back. The highlight of the middle section is an exclusive cover of Velvet Underground's "Candy Says" with an oozing hot tip.The second half of the show features the avant-garde soundscape "Who I Am & Why I Am Where" by Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, a new song by Alexis' other band, About Group, "The Long Miles," the haunting "Ode" by Nils Frahm, "Workaround Two" by experimental musician Beatrice Dillon's "Workaround Two," and finally Alexis' father, Neil Taylor, reads a passage from James Joyce's "Finne-gans Wake" to close the story. Another masterpiece of a mix, perfect for a cozy night of sleepless nights. The early works released on the emerging experimental label RVNG attracted attention for their sound production that intersected electronics and ambient drones, and were subsequently signed to 4AD. Bing and Loose, an amorphous chamber ensemble project led by David Moore, a pianist and composer from Brooklyn, New York, who has since signed with 4AD, has released a new album titled "Species. Their previous album, "No Home of the Mind," which was highly acclaimed and ranked #11 on Rolling Stone magazine's "Top 20 Best Avant-Garde Albums of 2017," featured a melting pot of gems from Nils Frahm and Goldmund to Tim Hecker. The album, the first in three years, is a minimalist work of music that blends Nils Frahm, Goldmund, and Tim Hecker. Their first album in three years fully explores the acoustics of the Farfisa organ, and was recorded at Sonic Ranch Studio in the desert and pecan plantations of West Texas with early members Jeff Ratner (bass) and Jeremy Weiner (clarinet). Recording took place at Sonic Ranch Studio in the desert and pecan plantations of west Texas. When composing the music, he intentionally placed himself in a place completely different from his everyday life, daring to lose his sense of direction, scale, and time, and reflecting the isolation created by this in the sound. The warm electronics of the organ, which never stops playing, and the repetitive electronic sounds encounter each other, and you can feel a sense of mystery that brings to mind the scene of the setting sun on the horizon of the magnificent desert on the cover of the album.
