Designed by George Nelson, these Pedestal tables for Vitra are a clear expression of mid-century principles, combining functional clarity with sculptural simplicity. Nelson sought to eliminate the visual clutter of traditional four-legged furniture by introducing a single, central pedestal base, resulting in a clean, architectural silhouette that feels both balanced and refined.

The set consists of two tables,  a low table with a diameter of 72 cm and a height of 42 cm and a high table with a diamater of 43 cm and a height of 57 cm. Executed in a sophisticated white matte finish that enhances their minimalist aesthetic while allowing them to integrate effortlessly into a wide range of interiors. Both tables are in perfect condition, carefully preserved and exceptionally well maintained. The original Vitra label is still present and visible on the pedestal, underscoring the authenticity and collectible value of these pieces.

These pedestal tables are no longer produced by Vitra and are currently manufactured exclusively by Herman Miller US (Millerknoll). As such, original Vitra editions have become increasingly rare and desirable among collectors and design enthusiasts.
