Tasting Note

"The wine is bright straw in appearance, with a green tinge. The nose has a perfumed lift of jasmine, orange blossom spice and lemon zest. The palate is full-flavoured with excellent fruit concentration and texture. Flavours of lemon/lime zest and pith prevail, with hints of citrus spice and succulent, juicy acidity emerging thereafter. Structurally, this wine has impressive length, a lively natural acid backbone and a mouth-wateringly powerful finish."

Producer

David and Diana Palmer acquired the property in 1989. Over the next 30 years the Palmers built Skillogalee into a world-class producer, consistently crafting wines with extraordinary expression of place.In 2021, the Palmers retired and the Clausen family took the reins at the estate, heralding the start of an exciting new era for Skillogalee. The highly-talented Kerri Thompson will step up as Consultant Winemaker at Skillogalee from the 2022 vintage.
