This is the first solo album in nine years for Dream Theater's center forward, James Labrie. He first began work on it in March 2020, when he entered the Corona Vortex, in collaboration with Paul Logue, who writes and plays bass in the Scottish band Eden's Curse, with whom he previously guest-vocalized. Rogue plays acoustic guitar and bass, Marco Sforli, who has played on three of Labrie's previous albums, plays lead guitar, Kristian Pulkkinen of Eden's Curse plays keyboards, and James' son Chance plays drums. Unlike the aggressive, modern heavy rock of his previous solo works, this album has a melodic rock sound with acoustic rhythm guitars that makes you want to listen to it in the grandeur of the land, and you can enjoy the delicate vocal work of LaBrie, who is full of transparency.
