Another album resulting from doctoral research by Kurt Bertels, who studies early saxophone and historically informed performance at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, reproducing the repertoire of the saxophone school at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in the 19th century. The album features works by Nazaire Beekman, which were also used as teaching aids for students, Ponslet's "Elodiat," which had only one work for saxophone, Paul Gilson's improvisations arranged from a work for violin and piano, and a piece for chor anglais and piano. Jongen's Meditations, arranged from a work for call anglais and piano, and other unknown works, including world premiere recordings, will expand the traditional saxophone repertoire. Tokyo M-Plus
