TAGS: No maker's tag. The price tag is still attached ($9.00 - an expensive tie for the times!) with a WPL # 8761. The RN database links that to Rivetz of Boston. Rivetz was founded in 1921, and were the originators of insignia neckties for Ivy League schools in the late 1930s, followed by regimental ties in school colors. They are still in operation, offering custom neckwear for businesses - Ralph Lauren was the NY rep for Rivetz before he founded Polo.
CONDITION: No stains, holes, tears or other issues noted.
