The act of massaging your face has a sculpting effect, and many can see this almost instantly as the puffiness in the face is gently reduced. Some use a Gua Sha stone with the aim of moving energy, known as qi or chi, around the body, removing blockages and allowing the energy to rebalance.

Leave the Gua Sha in the fridge before use to help with puffiness and dark circles.

Avoid using Gua Sha or Face Massage Roller technique if you've had any surgery in the last six weeks. People who are taking blood thinners or have clotting disorders should not use a Gua Sha stone technique. Gua Sha and Face Massage Rollers are not suitable for people who have medical conditions affecting the skin or veins, have an infection, tumour, or wound that has not healed fully, or have an implant, such as a pacemaker or internal defibrillator.

If you suffer from active acne, rosacea, eczema, or any kind of skin irritation, you should not use Gua Sha and always best to consult with a qualified dermatologist before trying at home. If you're pregnant, consult with your doctor before using a Gua Sha or face massage roller.

Clean your Gua Sha before and after use, with mild soap and warm water. Allow to air dry or dry with a microfibre cloth or soft towel and store in a safe place. Be careful with your Gua Sha & Roller Stone, they can be fragile and when dropped on a solid floor can break or shatter.

Each section of the Gua Sha is designed to be used on a different area of the face. Use the notch at the top under the eyes, long edge on neck and cheeks, shorter edge on forehead, and notched edge on throat, jawline and eyebrows.

The Face Massage Roller is designed to be used by gently stroking outward along chin, cheeks, eyes and brows, concentrating on areas of tension. Use large roller across forehead, cheeks, neck and jawline. Use smaller roller around delicate areas such as eyes and eyebrows. Can be used every day, suggested twice daily for five minutes each time.
