Originally debuting in Hedi Slimane’s Autumn-Winter 2003 collection for Dior Homme entitled “Luster”, this pair of heavily waxed denim has been reissued almost a half a dozen times since its original release. They have been seen in the AW03, AW04, AW05, AW06, SS07 and AW08 collections by Hedi Slimane and Kris Van Assche. Although we are used to seeing wax like this on denim, it was also seen in AW03 on an ultra rare “Luster Hoodie”. In the past years due to increasing rarity and high demand prices hav e sky rocketed, with well waxed unaltered pairs reaching prices well over a thousand. This pair from the Autumn-Winter 2004 iteration of the luster features 11/10 wax, SUPER heavy coating and no alterations. So shiny in real life camera doesn’t do it justice. 9.
