Monstera’s look charming in a glass vase, but left unchecked outdoors they can go wild, reaching over 60 feet tall. At my house, a decades-old Monstera winds around an even older Pomegranate tree. A few summers back, I spotted a 25-foot thumb-thick root—or maybe a shoot—creeping along the side of the house toward the buried water main.
