Casadesus, Robert
Description:
Although Schubert is popularly known as the "King of Songs," he also left behind a large number of piano pieces, including 21 sonatas, some of which are still unfinished, during his short 31-year life. Among them are many interesting works, such as "Fugue" and "Fugue Sketches," which he composed as a boy under Salieri to master the art of counterpoint, and "Fantasy in C minor," which seems to be a homage to Mozart. The "Two Scherzos" are also included in the "Sonatina Album 1," which was required for piano students. This is another lighthearted piece that shows Schubert's mastery of compositional techniques. Wojciech Walczek, born in Poland in 1980, is a pianist who has performed three albums by Franz Liszt. He has released three albums of Franz Liszt's music and is highly acclaimed for his technique and musicality. He is currently a professor at the University of Silesia, where he is actively engaged in performance activities while teaching younger students. Naxos Japan
