Did you know that Zanjan is Farsi for “dear wife” or dear lady”?? I thought that was so special! You can just tell by the design of this rug and the colors that were used that it was created with a woman in mind and her love for beautiful things.💕💕. All of these rugs are completely handmade by nomadic tribes, and are known for their geometric designs and bright cheerful colors.  The Weavers, from this northwestern region of Iran are primarily shepherds and goat herders consequently, all the wool used comes from their own sheep.  The Colors are created from Natural dyes extracted from various plants and insects.
