A lyricism that overflows. Born in Canada in 1995 to Polish parents, Jan Lisiecki is a gifted pianist who made his CD debut at the age of 13 and 14 when his performances at a music festival were released by the Polish National Chopin Society. At the age of 15, he signed a contract with Deutsche Grammophon, and at the age of 17, he released Chopin: Exercises (complete works). The 21 nocturnes by Chopin, with their melancholy, beautiful melodies and artistic depth, are Chopin's most popular works. Composed from the age of 20 to his later years, the Nocturnes show the transition of Chopin's style, which pursued rich nuances, romantic musicality, and a variety of possibilities in form and expressive content.
