This is the first solo album in six years by Naoya Otsuka, who has been very active as a guide for NHK-FM's "Enjoying Old Music," bass continuo player in ensembles such as the "Bach Collegium Japan," and soloist on harpsichord, organ, and clavichord. The instrument used is a two-stage keyboard harpsichord made in Antwerp in 1624 by Johannes Lukkers, one of the greatest masters in the history of harpsichord making.
