Tasting Note: Oh how I love this wine. I first tried it years ago when this wine was young and then I didn't sample it until this year again. Dusty, dry and with cherry stone and leather chairs on the nose, with an evolving palate that softens to a delightful older wine flavour after a couple of hours in a decanter."
Producer: Owned since 1921 by the Theil family, brothers Philippe and Francois are now running the 52 hectare estate. The estate is best known for their 1953 vintage which was famously mistaken by Baron Rothschild for his own wine, Lafite, and the wines are deep with a perfumed nose.
Country: France | Region: Bordeaux, Moulis | Alcohol: 12.5 | Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot.
