Di and Mike fell in love with lavender after visiting a lavender festival in Southern California. The lavender farm hosting the festival had beautiful fields and they fell in love with the tranquility. Living in the suburb of San Diego they couldn’t grow much lavender in their small backyard, so they started searching for land and houses for sale in the hills of San Diego County. 

They found 6 acres of an old avocado farm and bought the land and house. They started out small, planting only 100 Spanish lavender plants. They continued to expand, with over 1000 planted and 5 different species of lavender. They harvest about 75% of their lavender for distilling for the extraction of oil and hydrosol, the rest is dried for bundles and buds.

Di and Mike continue to study products that use lavender oil and hydrosol. Their most popular product is their balm, which works to promote healthy skin. Their hydrosol mist spray works great as an air freshener and skin toner. They are currently working on deodorant, candles and a bug repellent.
