These New Puritans reissue their masterpiece "Hidden," a 2010 NME Best Album of the Year, with new songs and live recordings! British art-rock band These New Puritans is celebrating the 10th anniversary of their masterpiece "Hidden" with the release of "Hidden [MMXX]"! The album features new and unreleased songs from the "Hidden" sessions, as well as live recordings from the same period. At the time of its release, Hedi Slimane hooked up with the band and provided music for the Dior show, and the band themselves appeared as models, attracting attention in the fashion world, winning the NME's 2010 Album of the Year award and receiving rave reviews in other media. Hidden" was a true symbol of its time. It embraces dancehall and 20th century post-minimalist rhythms, and features Japanese drums, a 13-piece brass and woodwind ensemble, heavy beats, piano, and even a children's choir. The result is a one-of-a-kind sound that is equal parts ferocious and melancholy, and even 10 years later it continues to shine as a milestone in music history.2015 - First world tour in 30 years since the release of Alone in the Universe. The tour has toured the UK, Europe, and North America, including 2 days at Radio City Music Hall in New York, 8 days at the O2 Arena in London, a headlining performance at the Glastonbury Festival in 2016, 3 days at the Hollywood Bowl with a spectacular fireworks display, and a performance at Wembley Stadium in June 2017 with close to 60,000 fans. In 2018, the band will return for a massive U.S. arena tour, a massive U.S. arena tour, followed this summer (2019) by a 20-show North American tour. Along with the massive mobilization tour, the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2017, marking a complete revival of the band. The new album features a guest appearance by Richard Tandy, the musician behind ELO and Jeff's closest friend.Jeff Lynne plays almost all other instruments, including guitar, bass, piano, drums, keyboards, and vibraphone, and the album was recorded at Bungalow Palace Studios in his Los Angeles home. Jeff's new album "From Out of Nowhere" is filled with Jeff's ideas, and as the title track "From Out of Nowhere" symbolizes, it is a work that is reminiscent of ELO in its golden age, with a strong whiff of mid-70s ELO.
