Description:
New solo work by Ezekiel Paieu, one half of the leading French electronic act Noze. This mysterious, lingering boxy pop mixes synths, post-classical and loose dance beats, and French songs. The overwhelmingly original Paiou's wonderland bursts forth again. This is the fourth solo album by Ezekiel Payou, a member of Noze, a French representative of minimal techno who also released an album on the prestigious German label Get Physical. Ezequiel Pieu is a graduate of the National College of Music and has classical roots. After turning solo, he has been making his own original works, especially the last few albums, inspired by the beautiful poems left by modern poets. This album, too, is structured around adaptations of historical works by poets such as Marseline Debord-Valmor, Louise Labbé, and Renée Vivienne. The album mixes synths, post-classical and slow dance beats, and French songs to create a strange, lingering boxy pop.It has a unique mood of familiarity and heterogeneity, which could be likened to Mocky, Gonzalez, or Herbert, with a touch of French romance and melancholy added to it.
