Our 5 frame nuc hives include a reversible bottom board with 3/4” entrance on one side and 3/8” entrance on the other, assembled deep box, inner cover and telescoping outer cover. We then submerge these in 300 degree wax for 10 minutes to boil out moisture and impregnate the wood and joints with wax, protecting it from the elements for many years to come.
