Dischidia Watermelon Plant Care

Watering

The Dischidia Watermelon likes to keep things balanced. Wait for the top layer of soil to dry out before offering a drink. It appreciates hydration but isn't too fond of waterlogged shoes (roots)!

Light

This charming plant enjoys a spot where it can receive bright, indirect sunlight. While it's quite adaptable, direct sunlight might be a tad too intense for its delicate leaves.

Temperature

Warm and steady wins the race. Aim for temperatures between 65°F to 75°F (18°C to 24°C). It's a bit sensitive to chilly drafts, so find a cozy spot away from cold windows.

Soil Mix

A well-draining mix is the Dischidia Watermelon's best friend. A blend of potting soil with a touch of perlite or orchid bark will make it feel right at home.

Humidity

This plant has a soft spot for humidity. While it's quite adaptable, a humidity level of around 50% or higher will make it happiest. If your space feels dry, consider misting or using a humidifier.

Fertilizer

Feed this little Dischidia with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during its growing season. In the dormant months, you can reduce the feeding frequency.

Toxicity

It's best to keep it out of reach from pets and children, as it can be mildly irritating if ingested.
