How It Works

Neutra Sul HP05N uses hydrogen peroxide as its active oxidizing agent. When injected into the water supply ahead of a retention tank and filter, the hydrogen peroxide oxidizes dissolved iron, hydrogen sulfide (the source of sulfur odor), and manganese. These contaminants are converted from dissolved form into solid particles that a downstream sediment or iron filter can capture and remove. Unlike chlorine-based treatments, hydrogen peroxide breaks down into water and oxygen after treatment -- leaving no chemical residue in the finished water.

The HP05N designation refers to the higher concentration formula used in professional treatment systems. This strength is appropriate for well water with significant iron and sulfur loads that lower-concentration products cannot adequately address. It is the same solution used by water treatment professionals across the US and is well-suited for whole-home injection systems with a retention tank of adequate contact time.

Proper dosing depends on the iron, sulfur, and manganese concentrations in your source water. A water test before treatment is recommended to determine the correct injection rate. The HP05N is used with a chemical metering pump and should be stored out of direct sunlight in a cool, dry location. The 5-gallon size reduces the frequency of refills on active systems.
