Centerline's new replacement turbo wastegate actuator rod was completely reengineered to be a permanent replacement for the original rods. The problem with the original rod is they are known to wear prematurely and cause wastegate rattles and underboost (P0299) error codes. Alfa Romeo does not offer a replacement rod, instead opting to replace entire turbocharger assemblies at significant cost.

The original actuator rod was made from plated mild steel, which resulted in un-lubricated, metal-on-metal friction between the rod and the posts on both ends, leading to rapid wear. Centerline's innovative solution uses a precisely machined actuator rod made from lightweight and durable Titanium, with high-speed ball bearings inserted into each end. This eliminates friction and provides smooth operation of the wastegate under all operating conditions. Additionally, this replacement rod is manufactured with tighter tolerances than the original rod, as the bearings remove all possibility of the rod binding on the shafts. This results in more precise wastegate control, improved throttle response, and improved boost under some circumstances.

Includes replacement retaining clips for both ends of rod.
