The new SX4000 allows you to upgrade your classic vehicle's ignition system to an amplified version using the points, all with a simple switch. There's no need to remove the traditional points or condenser, and you'll notice the benefits of easier starting, improved spark efficiency, and better combustion across the rev range.

The SX4000 works best with a standard 12-volt coil but is also compatible with a ballast coil (with a resistance of 1.4 ohms or more). It does not work on twin-coil systems.

If you're unsure about the location of the ballast wire or resistor, you can remove the wires from the positive terminal of the coil and run a new feed from the ignition key or any other switched live 12V feed.

Important Notes:

It is highly recommended to replace non-suppressed original copper-core leads to ensure the longevity of the new electronic ignition. Please contact us directly for a quote on these leads.
