An excellent palette for spontaneous people-watching and people-painting! This handy set was created by all-around amazing artist and CfM workshop instructor Melanie Lan, who curated it toward the widest spectrum of skin, hair, and eye colors possible with a minimal amount of paints. The most surprising choice of all is Fluorescent Brick Red, which we found makes the perfect glow reminiscent of sun shining through a person's earlobe!

All of our watercolors are handmade in our shop using the highest quality earth and synthetic pigments, plus natural watercolor binding medium made from gum arabic (sap from acacia trees), honey, glycerine, distilled water, and a dash of clove oil for freshness!

Some of our premade sets and custom blends contain colors which are not lightfast. Fading can be reduced by coating finished pieces in a UV protective varnish and/or keeping them out of direct sunlight. You can view a list of non-lightfast colors here.

All of our watercolors conform to ASTM D-4236.
