This food warmer is designed for "hot to hot" applications and does not heat up cold foods. This countertop wet warmer requires 1/8" to 1/4" of water at the bottom of the unit for proper operation. This 1200 watt food warmer will create steam (190 to 210 degrees) in the base and will distribute the heat around the pan.
