Description:
Longing, despair, nostalgia. The complete series of recordings of Liszt's "Pilgrim's Progress" by Medjieuwa, the quintessence of Romanticism, is now complete. Liszt stayed in Switzerland with his girlfriend, Countess Marie d'Agoux, from 1835 to 1836, and published his "strong impression" and "vivid impression" of Switzerland in the "Traveler's Album," a collection of his works, which he later revised and published as the "Pilgrim's Album. He later revised this work in "Switzerland" (1855), the first year of the Pilgrim's Progress. Medjieva's interpretation of the music, which is full of the spirit of Romanticism, is like a poem from the soul of a wandering traveler, and she succeeds in conveying the splendor of Liszt's works. From Laina's notes: "...It goes without saying that the pilgrimage of the hero's soul is depicted on a grand scale. The listener is sure to be deeply moved, similar to the feeling one gets after reading a long work of fiction."Wakabayashi Kobo (Kunishige Yu)
