Battery life with daily connections: 1 year with 1 minute logging. Battery life with hourly connections and 1 minute logging: 3 months.

Compact and rugged, these HOBO MicroRX Weather Stations are an easy-to-deploy, low-cost cellular solution for long-term, reliable field monitoring. Two power source options are available: a solar panel for extended deployments, and user-replaceable AA batteries for flexible mounting in covered or protected locations. Each station includes inputs for up to five of Onset’s research-grade plug-and-play smart sensors. Configurable station-side alarms trigger immediate notifications of critical conditions including accumulated rainfall. Also features a built in LCD to confirm setup and operation. Onset’s cloud-based HOBOlink platform makes it easy to view, access, and share data with up to 10 minute connection rates via 4G cellular data plans. The MicroRX Weather Station is housed in a weatherproof IP66/NEMA 4X enclosure. Battery powered model has user replaceable AA batteries (included), and the solar panel model can be supplemented with additional solar panels (sold separately).
