South Of Reality, the second album by The Claypool Lennon Delirium, a project by Sean Lennon & Les Claypool (Primus) is the second album by The Claypool Lennon Delirium, their first in three years since 2016's The Monolith of Phobos. The album is a magnificent kaleidoscope of psychedelic, progressive sounds and shimmering pop melodies. All songs were written and produced by the two. The sound and melodies created by Sean Lennon and Les Claypool, who are genuine Beatles' genes, are wonderful. This album is more reminiscent of the mid to late Beatles, Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd, and various artists who inherited the DNA of the Beatles. Sean's distorted guitar and Les Claypool's freewheeling, gurgling bass lines are just irresistible; this is the progressive rock of 2019.The first single, "Blood And Rockets," has a melancholic, melancholy melody and bass line reminiscent of the Beatles' White Album or thereabouts.
