Stan Getz
Description:
Stan Getz, one of the Modern Jazz Giants, represents the white jazz saxophone player. His album "Götz/Gilberto," released in 1964, was ranked No. 2 in the U.S. and won four Grammy Awards. This live album was recorded at the Newport Jazz Festival, where the band performed as the main act. The live performance featuring his own band with a young Gary Burton and guests including Astrud Gilbert and the popular trumpeter of the time, Chet Baker, still sounds fresh more than half a century later. This is a remastered release based on the BBC Radio audio masters that broadcast this performance at the time. Imported domestic edition with bilingual English commentary and obi.
