LIFT (Liquid Interface Film Technology) keeps a thin layer of liquid resin between the cured layer and the tray film. The part never bonds to the film, so separation is nearly effortless. Less peel force per layer means faster cycle times, less part stress, and a tray that lasts far longer than standard.
| Standard tray | LIFT tray | |
| Print speed | Baseline | Up to 2x faster |
| Peel force | High | Drastically reduced |
| Tray lifespan | ~1-2 liters | Up to 5 liters |
| Separation distance | ~10mm default | 1-2mm possible |
| Printer modification | N/A | None needed. Drop-in swap. |
"It totally changed the game. We have zero issues since we tried it. 100% success rate. The whole splint comes in like a monolithic shiny glossy piece."
Jonas, MJ Labs (Sydney) - 6 months on UltraGLOSS LIFT, 4 bottles of resin through same tray
Standard Teflon film trays cure the resin all the way to the film. LIFT uses a different fluoropolymer that maintains a liquid barrier. The cured layer floats on liquid instead of bonding to film. Less adhesion = the printer can use 1-2mm separation instead of the default 10mm = faster layer cycles.
Splints: Biggest ROI. Complex geometry, flexible green state, surface finish matters. No supports needed on interior undercuts.
Denture bases: Large overhangs, patient-facing surface quality.
Surgical guides: Dimensional accuracy on thin walls.
Models: Speed improvement, less dramatic quality difference.
Standard tray ~$150-200, lasts 1-2L ($75-200/liter). LIFT tray $295, lasts up to 5L (~$59/liter). Pays for itself within the first tray.
Asiga Max 2, MAX, MAX UV, MAX X. No firmware update or modification needed.
