After 3 years since his last album, he returned to his roots as an SSW and moved his base to LA to produce his 3rd album! After two previous albums with a band and a break from the field of video game music and pop music, he started production in 2018 as SSW, his original base. The base was also moved to LA, and Matthew E. White was appointed as a producer for this 12-track album.Steve Harris is the leader of the Ultimate Metal act Iron Maiden, the pride of the U.K. and an immensely popular bass player. In 2012, after a career spanning more than 30 years, Steve Harris launched British Lion, a project that expresses his love for British hard rock in a different direction. In November 2018, the British Lion, in between their activities as Iron Maiden, visited Japan for a concert. The second album "THE BURNING" was already completed at that time.The band performed a new song live on their Japan tour, and their high-standard British hard rock sound attracted all the fans in the audience. The latest song "Spit Fire," which was released just before the show, as well as another new song, "Lightning," which was released with the release of the album information, have Steve Harris' distinctive bass sound and melodic hard rock sound that is even more exciting than the band's debut album. The hot show in Japan and these two new songs alone are enough to fuel the anticipation for the latest release from the British Lion after a seven-year absence.The Burning" is the second album from this five-piece British Lion, featuring Steve Harris (b, key), Chard Taylor (vo), David Hawkins (g), Graham Leslie (g), and Simon Dawson (dr). The Burning was recorded at Barnyard Studios, Steve's home studio, with Tony Newton as engineer and mixer, and Steve Harris as producer. Vocalist Richard Taylor had this to say about the record: "We've been working on THE BURNING for a few years now and we're all very happy with the results. We've been working on 'The Burning' for a few years now and we're all very happy with the results. We've started playing some of the songs on our recent tour and we've had a great reaction from the fans, so we're very excited to share this album with the world. This is Steve Harris' second studio album, following his debut album released in 2012, which was his first musical project outside of Iron Maiden.Since their debut, the band has been touring live house and participating in festivals as much as time allows, and has been refining their live performances.
