A stunning Royal Oak that sharpens the original Genta vision into something crystalline. The Ref. 66800BA, c.1998, is a 25mm marvel in solid 18k yellow gold, fitted with a striking Petite Tapisserie dial in a seldom-seen, luminous blue.

At first glance, it reads like a jewel, compact, sculptural, unmistakably Royal Oak. But look closer, and the watch reveals a connoisseur’s logic: every line, bevel, and brushed surface is refined to architectural clarity.  That dial cut by pantograph, tone-rich and minutely textured, is where this reference quietly separates itself from the field. The dial is a deep, saturated blue, almost lacquer-like in certain light. The golden applied markers appear to hover in place, while the signature octagonal bezel, with its exposed screws and clean symmetry, anchors the design in the vocabulary of industrial luxury.

Inside, a high-grade quartz caliber allows for the extraordinary slimness of the case and offers period-correct precision without compromising AP’s finishing ethos. The accompanying blue strap, original to the watch, enhances the color story with a touch of late-1990s tonal harmony, while the presence of box and papers affirms its completeness as a collectible object.
