The Olive Mum 5 is a Classic Collection ceramic wall flower — olive, handmade, permanent, and requiring no water, no soil, and no follow-up. Think of the hottest night of the summer. That is the night this glaze was made. The olive came out of the kiln doing something none of us had asked it to do and all of us immediately wanted to keep. We have tried to get back there. The weather has not cooperated. This glaze exists because of one specific night that cannot be reconstructed. The Classic Collection is the original Chive line, built from onward, and the Olive Mum 5 has been in it long enough that it no longer needs to explain itself to anyone.
