Description:
A good piano jazz album inspired by Haruki Murakami's works! This is a new quartet and quintet album by German pianist Sebastian Gahler, who has been inspired by Haruki Murakami's works such as "Kafka by the Sea"(1)(11), "Norwegian Wood"(2)(5)(7), "1Q84"(3)(4)(6)(8)(9)(10), and "Haruki Murakami Homage". Without the "Haruki Murakami tribute," this is a great album reminiscent of many modern jazz masterpieces by Prestige and Riverside in the 50's and 60's. It is not strange, complicated, or complicated, but it is a great album. The band does not try to be eccentric, or use complicated melodies or broken techniques to create a unique sound, but rather plays traditional modern jazz in a straightforward manner, which I like. The choice of phrases and delivery in each instrumental solo, and the way the piano enters in the introductory part, give the listener a good sense of the music and make it pleasant to listen to.
