David Bowie
Description:
David Bowie, whose film "Moonage Daydream" is currently receiving critical acclaim, is a man who has gone through a number of ups and downs in his long career. Bowie has undergone many ups and downs during his long career, and the late 1980s was no different. After the big hit of "Let's Dance" (1983), Bowie had become a pop star, but he formed Tin Machine in 1988 in order to break away from that status. Around the same time, with the rights to his past works back in his possession, he began reissuing them. Included in this was the box set "Sound + Vision" (1989), which was full of rare tracks. This CD contains material from the "Sound + Vision Tour" held in 1990 under that title. Bowie declared that he would seal off his past repertoire with this world tour, which consisted of 108 shows in total, and that this tour was a total summation of his past. It was a tour that was a total summation of the past. The live performance recorded here is the second to last show of the tour, which took place on September 27, 1990 at the Estadio Nacional de Chile stadium in Santiago, the capital of Chile. (C)RS
