High in the mountains of Nariño, in the village of Medina Espejo, lies La Choza, a small family farm perched between 1,900 and 2,000 meters above sea level. This high-altitude landscape, shaped by cool temperatures and dramatic mountain terrain, is known for producing some of the most distinctive and elegant coffee profiles in the San Ignacio area.
La Choza is led by Janeth del Carmen Narváez, a woman coffee grower carrying forward a deep-rooted family connection to the land. What was once primarily the family home has gradually been transformed into a focused coffee project, preserving local heritage while opening a new chapter built on quality and intention. The farm is managed as a close-knit family operation, with parents and children living and working together, sharing responsibilities from fieldwork to harvest.
