In 2018, the 333rd anniversary of Bach's birth, Richter's collection of Bach cantatas is re-released with Japanese lyrics and bilingual translation. No. 80 is a cantata for Reformation Day, based on Luther's famous chorale "Our God is a firm fortress," written in its original form in 1715 and first performed in its final draft on October 31 around 1727-1731. Cantata No. 106 is a cantata thought to have been written not for worship services but for funerals and other mourning events.It was first performed around 1707 and is one of Bach's oldest surviving cantatas.
