The WGA is a high-performance internal wastegate actuator designed to improve boost control on internally wastegated turbos. By using a significantly larger diaphragm area than the OEM actuator, the WGA has more control authority over the wastegate flap, meaning exhaust backpressure cannot override the flap position as easily, resulting in more stable and reliable boost control.
Supplied with 3 springs and a unique turnbuckle pre-load adjustment, the base boost pressure can be configured and adjusted from 5psi to 24psi for the best possible boost control.
The WGA features a longer stroke, shorter height, and more adjustment than its rivals.
WGA part # 7303 is designed to bolt on to EVO X models with the factory turbo. The 10psi and 7psi springs are installed for a base pressure of 17psi, with the 5psi spring included in the packaging for additional tuning options.
Please note that whilst this is a physical âbolt-onâ product, it should be considered a tuning tool as it WILL increase boost pressure and therefore TUNING IS REQUIRED.
When it comes to external wastegates, some things you want big, others you want small â like big flow, small size, right? GFB offers a range that are among the most compact external wastegates in their class, being shorter in height than their closest rivals without sacrificing flow.
All GFB wastegates feature an investment cast body made from 253MA chromium-nickel stainless steel, a CNC machined billet stainless valve, and all stainless steel weld-on fittings and hardware, whilst the diaphragm is nomex-reinforced silicone. All this adds up to a wastegate built to handle extreme conditions with reliability you can trust!

When diving into the world of increasing your carâs boost pressure, the limits of a factory-fitted wastegate actuator can soon become apparent. Even with electronic boost control it is not always possible to overcome wastegate issues such as boost drop off at high RPM, unstable boost curve, or an inability to achieve target boost.

Setting the base spring pressure correctly for your application can have significant performance benefits, so we made sure the WGA offers the best adjustability on the market!
We supply 3 stainless steel springs that can be used in any combination ranging from 5psi to 22psi, but thatâs only the beginning. Whilst other brands may offer more spring options (sold separately), changing springs to fine-tune boost pressure is time consuming and quite frankly, a pain in the butt.
Thatâs why we added another industry-first: turnbuckle adjustment. Because the WGA was designed with a long stroke, it is possible to use some of that extra stroke length to fine-tune the base boost pressure in a matter of minutes without swapping
springs or removing the actuator.
As an added benefit, the turnbuckle makes swapping springs so easy that it can often be done without removing the actuator from the car!
