For an emergency fundraising initiative, we've teamed up with nonprofit organization New Alternatives for Homeless LGBTQ+ Youth to launch a series of limited-edition artist T-shirts, beginning with a design by Carol Bove.

This project is a direct response to dismantled protections and slashed public funding, mobilizing artists in support of queer and trans youth. 100% of proceeds will benefit New Alternatives.

This is a boxy, cropped T-shirt with an oversized fit and a totally tubular body, no side seams. The world-first fabric is made entirely from post-industrial cotton waste to conserve water and energy. Knit, sewn, and customized in Los Angeles, keeping our carbon footprint low.

About the Artist

For nearly three decades, artist Carol Bove has worked across multiple mediums, probing the relationship between history and aesthetics. Her practice ranges from intimate, constructed displays of found objects—often referencing the radical intellectual movements of the 1970s—to monumental metal sculptures, which engage traditionally masculine-coded forms traditionally through a corrective and distinctly feminist lens.

The inaugural T-shirt features artwork by artist Carol Bove, created especially for the project, and launching in conjunction with her mid-career survey exhibition at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City.

About the Nonprofit Organization

For the past 17 years, New Alternatives has been at the forefront of direct-service support for LGBTQ+ youth and young adults experiencing homelessness in New York City. Grounded in principles of harm reduction and youth empowerment, the organization enables clients to transition out of the shelter system and into stable adult lives. Its services range from providing necessities such as food and toiletries to assisting with access to physical and mental healthcare, legal counsel, housing, and employment opportunities.
