Reviewed and vetted by me -Destiny
I personally reviewed both of Lily Lolo’s mascaras.
- Big Lash Mascara is a no for me due to Polysorbate 20, which I personally choose to avoid ❌
- This version, however, is a better option and one I feel comfortable recommending based on the ingredient profile as a whole ✅
Ingredients:
Aqua (Water), Tribehenin, Glyceryl Behenate, Propanediol, Acacia Senegal Gum, Helianthus Annuus Seed Cera (Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Wax), Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Hydrogenated Olive Oil, Copernicia Cerifera Cera (Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax), Oryza Sativa Bran Wax (Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Wax), Palmitic Acid, Stearic Acid, Triheptanoin, VP/Hexadecene Copolymer, Arginine, Olea Europaea Fruit Oil (Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil), Mica, Hydroxyacetophenone, Mangifera Indica Seed Butter (Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter), Octyldodecanol, Olea Europaea Oil Unsaponifiables (Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil Unsaponifiables), Xanthan Gum, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol +/- (May Contain) CI 77499 (Iron Oxides)
VP/Hexadecene Copolymer- a synthetic film‑former used for lash hold.. not my favorite type of ingredient, but commonly used in clean‑leaning mascaras and considered low concern at cosmetic use levels
Mica- Lily Lolo states their suppliers provide documentation confirming ethical sourcing and regulatory compliance ✅
Benefits:
- Gentle, low‑tox formula for sensitive eyes: Fragrance‑free and made without common irritants like carbon black or phenoxyethanol
- Defines and volumizes without clumping or stiffness: Plant‑based waxes help coat lashes evenly for natural‑looking volume and separation, without that crunchy or heavy mascara feel.
- Conditions lashes while you wear it: Nourishing oils and butters (like olive oil derivatives and mango seed butter) help keep lashes soft and comfortable instead of dry or brittle.
