The Chase Tactical MCR1 is a laser-cut MOLLE modular chest rig built from Mil-Spec IR-treated 500D Cordura laminate. Sold in a bare configuration, it gives operators a fully configurable platform that can be built out with pouches and accessories to match any mission profile. The rig comes in at 13.6 oz and is available in Black, Coyote, MultiCam, and Ranger Green. The MCR1 ships as a complete system — Base Platform plus Modular Shoulder and Waist Straps included.
The front of the MCR1 Base Platform runs 12 MOLLE columns across 5 MOLLE rows — approximately 18 inches wide by 6 inches tall. That grid accepts standard PALS-compatible pouches and accessories without adapters. The 2-inch-wide shoulder straps include additional laser-cut MOLLE slots, extending usable attachment real estate beyond the chest panel itself.
The interior of the Base Platform features a built-in pocket accessible through a Hook and Loop top panel. That pocket fits flat objects including maps, soft armor inserts, and the Chase Tactical Triple Kangaroo 5.56 Mag Insert. The H-configuration layout keeps the rig centered and flat against the body.
The MCR1 Shoulder Straps attach to the Base Platform via side-release buckles, enabling size adjustment and fast donning and doffing without removing the fully loaded rig. The H-configuration harness distributes the loaded weight across both shoulders through the 2-inch-wide strap design.
The shell is laser-cut 500D Cordura laminate treated at source with Mil-Spec IR treatment to deliver the lowest infrared signature achievable in the material. All fabrics, webbing, and plastic hardware carry the same source-level IR treatment. Bar tacking and reverse stitching reinforce every stress point. The back of the Base Platform features a Hook and Loop top with Hypalon tabs providing access to the full interior. A covered Hook and Loop patch on the back of the Base Platform allows direct attachment to a plate carrier or the Chase Tactical Joey Utility Pouch.
Chase Tactical backs the MCR1 with a limited lifetime warranty.
The MCR1 is designed to function as a standalone chest rig or to mount directly onto a plate carrier via the Hook and Loop patch on the back of the Base Platform. The side-release buckle shoulder straps are adjustable for a range of torso sizes. For fit confirmation on a specific plate carrier, contact us before ordering.
No. The MCR1 is a chest rig, not a plate carrier. It does not hold hard armor plates. The internal pocket accepts soft armor inserts and flat accessories including maps and mag inserts, but this is not a ballistic-plate-rated platform.
The MCR1 does not have plate pockets and does not accept hard armor plates. It attaches to a plate carrier via Hook and Loop on its back panel, allowing the two systems to work together on the same platform.
The front panel runs 12 columns by 5 rows of laser-cut MOLLE, roughly 18 inches wide by 6 inches tall. The 2-inch shoulder straps add additional MOLLE slots beyond the front panel, so usable attachment space extends across the full rig.
The shoulder straps attach via side-release buckles, which allow fast donning and doffing and size adjustment. This is a quick-buckle release, not a pull-tab ballistic quick-release. The straps detach from the Base Platform cleanly without tools.
The MCR1 weighs 13.6 oz as shipped in bare configuration — Base Platform and Shoulder and Waist Straps included, no pouches attached.
The MCR1 lies flat against the body in a low-profile H-configuration and ships bare, making it adaptable. Load it out with pouches for a full tactical configuration, or run it minimally for a lower-vis profile. The IR-treated 500D construction suits operational environments where signature management matters.
