Violinist Shushanu Shiranosyan is currently a hot name in the world of ancient music as of 2018. Hailed by Immaazel as "the next generation of stars in the Anima Eterna," her album is a combination of Mendelssohn's concertos and octets. Mendelssohn was known to revise his own works many times, and the famous "Violin Concerto in E Minor" is no exception, as it was originally conceived as a piano concerto and took six years to complete, despite the advice of a violinist friend. Anima Eterna and Silanosyan, led by Jacob Lehmann, perform the original version of the piece and succeed in flushing out the true nature of the work.
