The Merkur 1904 or 42C is meant to be a replica of the original 1904 Gillette Safety Razor. It has a beautiful hexagonal handle that is inlaid with a simple but elegant pattern too. This serves a dual purpose as it looks great, but also helps greatly improve the grip.
