There's plenty of lighter instruments providing breathing room for the fuzz - well, as much as Ty Segall can let his songs breathe, anyway - "When the Gulls Turn to Ravens" features a banjo; "Another Hustle" breaks out an acoustic guitar riff that would've been home on a late-60s blues rock album. Plus a fun drum break! Shame the other blustery parts of "Another Hustle" are just that - bluster. But with this guy, it's all about the fuzz, especially in the first two songs.
