Lighthouse was formed in Toronto, Canada, in 1968 by Skip Prokop, formerly of the Poppers and drummer for Al Kooper and Mike Bloomfield's super session show "Miracle at the Fillmore," Paul Hoffert, keyboard player and producer for Tony Kozinec, and guitarist Ralph Cole. Lighthouse was a 13-member brass rock band formed in Toronto, Canada in 1968. Recorded in New York. (All 11 tracks are original compositions by Skip Prokop, Paul Hoffert, and others, including the oriental-inspired "Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo" and a variety of other free and hip sounds ranging from jazz rock to folk rock, California psychedelic rock, and country rock. A work of ambition. In addition to Prokop and Hoffert, the album was co-produced by pianist and RCA house producer Mike Lipskin.
